KC4AAA

Post by VE3PCP » Sun Oct 08, 2017 1:19 am

Managed to work KC4AAA tonight on 20m.
100 Watts, Hustler 4BTV vertical.
This is the Amundsen-Scott Research Station at the South Pole!
Took some time to get through the pile up but worth it!
59 sent, 57 received!
Definitely grey line path. You could hear the path move from east to west by the stations getting through the pile up.
14,930 km give or take..

Nice - and welcome to the club!

Bobby and I contacted this station from my campsite's portable station during winter field day on 40m. Spoke with someone at the neutrino array.
