Hi Becky.
We will meet for 9:00 am at the GSCA Arboretum pavilion.
Don't worry, we'll put you to work. :)
Actually it's more to show you what happens at an event like this. Also a chance for you to get on the air.

Thanks to all who help at today's JOTA event. Scouts, Leaders and parents had a good time. Scouts were impressed with winlink - ham email - as several were sent emails to their own email addresses. Contacts on voice and digital stretched from Ottawa (VE3SHQ) to Brockville ON (VE3LVN), Kincardine (VA3RAC) to Germany and several stateside QSO's. Many were interested in the lightweight set-up for camping/hiking/canoeing.

It was great to be able to talk between us both on 2M and on HF.
We had a great weekend between JOTA and running VA3RAC.
The girls were great and had an excellent time.
They all learned to tap out their 1st name in Morse Code. They learned the Q codes and had a number of conversations with others their age on the radio!
Thanks to Carson, VA3OS for bring his equipment down and demonstrating digital mode and inspiring the young minds!
My son Justin enjoyed helping us get everything set up and running and making a number of DX contacts on 20M.
I put a video together with what we captured on Saturday!
Enjoy!
