As many know and some may not, your antenna is one of the most important parts of your station set up. Not all antennas are created equal and some need the help of other devices to get the best out of them. One of the big issues with some types of antennas fed with coax is called Common Mode Currents that can develop on your feedline from running unbalanced coax feedline from a balanced antenna such as the common dipole.
Callum from DX Commander has some of the best videos, in my opinion on the internet. here is one where he talks about chokes and how to best build them.
