Ya but I don't have my advanced qual.... strickly speaking a repeater is assumed to be remotely controlled, in other words if this is a radio at your QTH, and you didn't build or modify the transmitter, then you as a holder of the basic qual can experiment as you like. However, if you leave your QTH, you must turn off the repeater.
