To all GBARC members,
I am looking for minimum 7 amateur radio operators to support the Owen Sound Terry Fox Run on Sunday September 20th at Harrison Park. We will meet up at 09:15 at the Band stand to confirm our assignments and get the assignment map as well as any last minute info from the run organizers.
Suggest you all have the mobile repeater frequency -146.895MHz, NO TONE programmed into your radios as well as know how to use Repeater Reverse or have the Repeater Reverse frequency +146.295, NO TONE programmed in the radio. I will explain how and when the Repeater Reverse gets used and radio protocols for its use during the briefing meeting at 09:15.
Let me know as soon as you have a chance which of the 8 course positions on the map you are interested in for your position assignment. It will be first come first serve. We do have more than these 8 positions that can be assigned but these 8 are the minimum we should have for excellent coverage of the course. Anyone choosing the Control Station location will be acting as the event Net Controller.
Looking forward to seeing you there at the TERRY FOX RUN on September 20th.
