OQP 2026 Saturday 18th =CANCELLED=
#1

=CANCELLED==CANCELLED==CANCELLED=

This post is to gauge interest in this years QSO Party, Saturday April 18th from 2pm till 10pm. This is also the same day and the World Amateur Radio Day. I will have 2 stations ready and since the snow will likely be gone by then, attendees can use the back yard as well to put what whatever antenna they choose and operate. It may also be a good time to new hams to get together with others.

We can discuss meals and such later but I envision a chilli or beef stew for attendees.

In about 2 weeks the OQP will be upon us, calling again for those who wish to attend make their plans known by using the poll at the top of this post.

 We will have a beef stew or chilli, if you have specific dietary needs then we have a microwave or oven to heat up whatever you bring along. We will also have coffee available.

If you bring desserts or salads or such it would be a good idea to post that here so others will know. Also don't bring too much, better to use it all up instead of throwing away leftovers. Or plan to take home any leftovers from what you bring along...thanks and 73

Main course sounds good! I'll just bring some snacks (corn chips and dip), and a drink for me.

It looks like the XYL is favouring a chilli for dinner, along with garlic bread. Big Grin The question remains, How much to make? If it remains as the 4 who have responded, then it will be easy to plan. We will have coffee here.

If it's your intention to just stop by and operate or chat for a bit, then if you could also make a post, if for no other reason to gauge the number of chairs .hi hi .

I have 2 stations ready, spent most of yesterday getting N1MM+ to talk to both stations. The laptop I was using has some issue with connectivity and switching to another computer solved the issue, but what the cause was, is still unknown.

Looking forward to Saturday   See you then

Hey Tom, I don't know what I am doing yet this weekend, will see what the party planner has in store.  I'm a plant eater only so don't count me in for any chili.  If I do show up, it will be a surprise but I will bring my own food and snacks and can even bring a chair.

I'm still planning to join you on Saturday.  I will likely bring some snacks for everyone to munch on but I'm not sure what yet.
Hopefully the tide goes out in your driveway so we can get through okay.

Thanks,
Dan

Hello all, I think I had better make a decision regarding the QSO Party. I regret doing it but I don't think the water will recede enough by Saturday to make the road passable. I can drive it, but I'm only one vehicle and I know where the driveway is. Once a vehicle goes down the driveway, the water gets muddy and hard to see where the edge is. So better to cancel this incase a car get off the driveway and gets stuck... maybe next year. Click on the image to get a larger view. At least I got to refresh my memory on N1MM+ logger and getting it to work on a network.    73
