Subscribing to forums

To subscribe to a forum:

Navigate to the forum you wish to subscribe to.
Click the 'Subscribe to this forum' link just above, towards the right side of, the list of threads in that forum.

This issue is..I have never been able to make it work...there are other spots to subscribe to posts ie: receive an email or pm when someone replies to your posts, but I have not actually received one. 

It seems to work if you view them in your User Control panel...
