Club POTA activation #3.
We are getting better at this as a club. We had Tom VA3TS, BobbyVE3PAV, Adam VE3FP and Dan VE3DNY with his XYL. Due to some technical issues with my 20 meter vertical Tom got on 20 meters with his new End Fed antenna with one end strung out to a tree at abt. 30 ft and started logging QSOs. Bobby setup his Kenwood TS-480 in the back of his car was also on the air on 40 meters. I stayed out till the others took a needed break and got on the 17 meters for a bit to minimize the interference caused to other radios is why we are in need of bandpass filters.
All in all we we got our quota for POTA activation in a joint effort.
Arron Lake Conservation is a nice location for this type of event and would do this one again.
Tom will post some pictures from this event.

Some pictures... The use of the 9:1 unun antenna went well. It's easier to get tuned than the Comet vertical and so makes for a quicker setup. The wires supplied with the unun were each about 10' shorter than I thought they should be. I found some other examples of the same antenna on a web search and their picture had a label with lengths on it...not the same as I received.

The toybox vertical, Comet HFJ-350 Series Portable Telescopic Antennas,  has it's place, it will work as well, but it just takes more effort to set it up.
