Allen Park CA POTA Activation

Got out again to Allen Park Cons. Area to try another setup configuration less complicated. Still using my Icom IC-7000 with auto tuner and Hustler mobile 20 meter antenna mounted on a tripod. Laptop w/Smart Logger for contact logging, much better choice. For ground plane/counterpoise I used the the emergency blanket 160 x 210 cm and was really impressed with the results, 20 QSO in abt 30 minutes as well as interacting with some inquisitive visitors. It was a good day doing POTA today.








Covers 20 meter band nicely.
