Here is something maybe of interest to those operating emergency operations, POTA or just about any field operation. This video demonstrates the effectiveness and operation of this antenna.

I may try to build this antenna in the next little while. The Mylar space blanket also serves as a counterpoise and an emergency shelter.
Nice project for a POTA operation.

I have a bit of 1 1/2" and 2" PVc pipe .... I don't have any end caps, easy to get at Home Building
