Emergency operations rely on off-grid capabilities. Field day operations theoretically prepare operators for emergency communications. The object of the exercise is to get us out of the shack and prepared to operate from anywhere. This video is about a group of operators who wanted to get way out of the shack. While this might not be the kind of operation field day planners had in mind It proves a key point about emergency communications. Planning is everything.
